FIRST LEGO League Romania – Start Your STEM Journey This 2026 Season!

The new season of FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) is about to begin in Romania, and excitement is already building. Starting in February 2026, children and students from across the country will once again have the chance to build, code, and innovate with LEGO® while solving real-world challenges.

If you want to be part of it, all the official details can be found on the Romanian FLL website: https://firstlegoleague.ro/.

What Makes FIRST® LEGO® League Special

FIRST® LEGO® League is much more than a robotics competition. It’s a hands-on learning experience that inspires kids to explore science, technology, engineering, and math in a fun and creative way. Teams work together to design and program LEGO® robots, but they also tackle innovation projects where they come up with solutions to real problems. Along the way, they discover the power of teamwork, improve their communication skills, and learn how to think like engineers.

In Romania, the program has two divisions: Explore, for ages 6–10, and Challenge, for ages 9–16. Whether you’re just starting your STEM journey or ready to take on complex robotics missions, there’s a place for everyone.

The 2026 Theme: UNEARTHED

Every year, FLL has a unique theme, and for 2025–2026 the global challenge is called “UNEARTHED.” This theme invites teams to dig into the past, uncover hidden stories, and use creativity to connect history with the future. It’s a chance for young minds to explore heritage and innovation at the same time.

Romanian events for both Explore and Challenge divisions are scheduled for February 2026. The exact dates and locations will be announced soon on https://firstlegoleague.ro/, so make sure to keep an eye out for updates.

Why Join the Adventure

  • Kids learn by doing, turning STEM concepts into real-life problem-solving.
  • Teamwork and leadership grow naturally as participants share ideas and collaborate.
  • Creativity thrives when children design, build, and program their robots.
  • Teams join a worldwide movement, connecting with students from more than 100 countries.

It’s not just about the competition—it’s about confidence, discovery, and having fun while learning.
